But the Canon DR-1210C ($400 street) is that kind of product. It earns the "wow" not just because it does an extraordinarily good job ... Low price for a flatbed document scanner. Incredibly fast text recognition. Unusually easy to use. Scans only in simplex mode (one side of each page). Low raw scan speed, at 12 pages per minute. The Canon DR-1210Cs one real limitation is that it can scan only one side of a page. Beyond that, Canon got almost everything right....
