SonicWALL TZ 170 Wireless 25 Node
Today’s businesses rely increasingly on their communications fabric to transmit mission-critical company information between headquarters and remote locations securely. Small and branch offices exchange time sensitive business data. Retail stores, hotels, banks and gas stations exchange customer purchase and inventory information with every transaction. Critical to their success is the ability to transmit this information securely and to ensure that network connectivity is always available.
The TZ 170 SP Wireless, the flagship product of SonicWALL’s TZ 170 series, is a high-performance, multi-layer network security platform that integrates the best features of the TZ 170 Series in a single appliance, including 802.11b/g wireless, automated failover/failback technologies and a deep packet inspection firewall. The TZ 170 SP Wireless ensures constant access to critical data on both the wired and wireless LANs by automatically failing over to either a second WAN connection or an integrated analog modem should the primary connection fail. Dual broadband WAN connections plus a built-in analog modem and secure 802.11b/g wireless make the TZ 170 SP Wireless the first appliance to offer automated broadband-to- broadband-to-analog WAN redundancy for unparalleled uptime on both wired and wireless networks.
Included with every TZ 170 SP Wireless is SonicOS Enhanced, which delivers advanced business continuity and networking features including ISP Failover, Policy-based NAT, Object-based Management and more. The TZ 170 SP Wireless also integrates real-time gateway anti-virus, anti-spyware, intrusion prevention and anti-spam capabilities for protection against viruses, spyware, worms, Trojans and other malicious threats.
Integrated Firewall, VPN and Wireless Access Point. The TZ 170 SP Wireless integrates deep packet inspection firewall, IPSec VPN and 802.11b/g wireless access technologies in one easy-to-use solution, reducing the time and cost burdens associated with supporting multiple solutions.
Failover and Failback Technologies. The TZ 170 SP Wireless ensures continuous uptime for IPSec VPN tunnels by failing over to an analog WAN connection should the broadband connection fail. Once the broadband is re-established, the TZ 170 SP Wireless fails back, providing the best connection speed possible.
Real-Time Gateway Anti-Virus, Anti-Spyware and Intrusion Prevention. The TZ 170 SP Wireless extends security from the network core to the perimeter by integrating support for SonicWALL's Gateway Anti-Virus, Anti-Spyware and Intrusion Prevention Service, delivering real-time protection against the latest blended threats, including viruses, spyware, worms, Trojans, software vulnerabilities and other malicious code.
Powerful Content Filtering. The TZ 170 SP Wireless supports SonicWALL’s Content Filtering Service, providing an enterprise-class, scalable content filtering service that enhances productivity and security with requiring additional server or deployment costs.
Real-Time Blacklist Spam Filtering. The TZ 170 SP Wireless provides the ability to use DNS to query Real-Time Black List (RBL) services that track well-known spam and open- relay SMTP servers, and to deny SMTP connections from servers that appear on the lists.
Deep Packet Inspection Firewall. The TZ 170 SP Wireless features a configurable, high performance deep packet inspection firewall for extended protection to key Internet services such as Web, e-mail, file transfer, Windows services, and DNS.
Broadband-to-Broadband-to-Analog WAN Redundancy. The TZ 170 SP Wireless is the only appliance that provides the ability to fail over and fail back from a primary broadband WAN connection to a secondary broadband WAN connection to an analog WAN connection, providing unparalleled network uptime via multiple WAN redundancies.
Wireless Intrusion Detection Services. The TZ 170 SP Wireless protects wireless networks by detecting and preventing three widespread threats: rogue access points, disassociation attacks and association flood attacks.
Wireless Guest Services. The TZ 170 SP Wireless allows network administrators to create user accounts for occasional guest users such as consultants and contractors that permit wireless connections to the Internet without providing access to the corporate network.
WAN ISP Failover and Load Balancing. The TZ 170 SP Wireless offers the ability to configure the optional port as a secondary WAN port, delivering highly reliable network connectivity and robust performance. This secondary WAN port can be used in “active-active” load sharing or failover configuration providing a highly efficient method for maximizing total network bandwidth.
Comprehensive Central Management Support. Every SonicWALL security appliance can be managed using SonicWALL's award-winning Global Management System, which provides network administrators with the tools for simplified configuration, enforcement and management of global security policies, VPN, and services, all from a central location.
