With a digital camera all the pictures you make are stored digitally, which means you can instantly view a picture after you have taken it and take as many pictures as you like, without having to buy new films all the time. It is easy to download the pictures from your camera to your computer, either at home or at the shop and edit them before printing. Once they are on your computer, you can easily share your pics with the rest of the world by putting them on-line, or e-mailing them to friends.

Long product name Canon EOS -20D 8.2MP CMOS Black :
The short editorial description of Canon EOS -20D 8.2MP CMOS Black

Canon EOS -20D 8.2MP CMOS Black:
The official marketing text of Canon EOS -20D 8.2MP CMOS Black as supplied by the manufacturer
The EOS 20D is the semi-professional digital SLR to deliver all the speed, precision and flexibility synonymous with high-end film SLR cameras - plus a whole lot more. A rugged magnesium alloy body provides the first clue that the EOS 20D is no ordinary camera. Canon's award-winning CMOS technology delivers outstanding image quality and 8.2 Megapixel resolution. The DIGIC II architecture drives blistering 5fps continuous shooting with a maximum burst of 23 frame JPEG images, class-leading colour rendition accuracy, quick start-up times and rapid display and zooming of images during in-camera review. JPEG and RAW files write simultaneously with no loss of performance. 9 auto focus points are carefully distributed across a wide area of the frame for fast, accurate focusing, even with off-centre subjects and particularly with 'rule-of-thirds' compositions. The E-TTL distance-linked flash algorithm takes factors such as lens distance information and ambient light readings into account for accurate flash metering, even in circumstances such as recomposed shots, or where high or low reflective objects appear in the frame. The camera is compatible with the entire EX-series Speedlite flash range. This includes the 580EX, which transmits colour temperature information for improved colour stability and auto zooms to match the camera's APS-C sensor size. The EOS 20D is compatible with more than 60 Canon EF lenses, including Canon's EF-S lenses. Built with the EOS 20D photographer in mind, the EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM and EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM cover popular wide (approx. 16-35mm) and standard (approx. 27-136mm) ranges in the 35mm equivalent. An extreme high (3200 ISO) setting extends the camera's wide 100-1600 ISO speed range. Both sRGB and Adobe RGB colour spaces are supported. Digital Photo Professional image processing software permits high-speed processing of lossless RAW files. The EOS 20D's USB 2.0 Hi-Speed connection enables fast download of images to the computer. PictBridge compliant, the camera supports direct printing to any compatible photo printer. It takes both CF and CF-II cards, including cards of over 2GB capacity.

The Canon EOS 20D is a well-built 8 megapixel DSLR camera which produces outstanding pictures. Noise levels are very low, with just the 6 megapixels Konica-Minolta Maxxum 7D and 5D doing better. Outstandingly the 20Ds 5 FPS continuous drive mode is f...

The earlier "preview" of the EOS 20D has now moved here]Ive now had time to make a hands on evaluation of the Canon EOS 20D and to compare it with the Canon EOS 10D. Heres my take on it:SizePerhaps the most obvious characteristic of the Canon 20D is...
Bottom line Well, the EOS 20D is a better camera than the EOS 10D. I like it a lot. The question is whether or not its worth the cost for an EOS 10D owner to upgrade. Id suggest 10D owners in such a position put a dollar value how much each of the following majo...
A review of the Canon EOS 20D digital SLR camera, a fantastic tool for sports and action photographers who like to make large prints. The camera is geared toward professional photographers, but priced with consumers in mind.

Canon 20D DSLR ReviewFourth time is a charm... Why the delay in this review? Mea culpa, mea culpa. I started using the 20D back in early fall of 2004 and had formed a pretty good impression of the camera by the end of the year. Id even written most of...

What can I say that hasnt already been said? Quite a lot, actually.
More compact that the EOS 10D it replaced, the EOS 20D is also lighter. The body is built around a solid stainless steel chassis, covered in a magnesium alloy, and finished in a textured, flat black.
Recently we?ve seen film SLR cameras that borrow from technology developed in the digital SLR realm, but of course digital SLRs borrow the best from their film ancestors. What?s changed is that we no longer have film itself to contend with, which with...

Bottom line As soon as we got our hands on the Nikon D70 it became fairly clear that it was a camera which although priced nearer to the EOS 300D (Digital Rebel) could compete with the more expensive EOS 10D. Canon knew this and obviously also knew that they woul...
In April 2000 Canon released the D30, a 3.1 megapixel digital SLR camera. Two years later they released the D60 followed by the 10D and now, the latest mid-range digital SLR, the 8.2 megapixel 20D. Each release has incorporated new technology from Cano...
