You protect your home against intruders with locks and alarm systems and you lock your valuables away in a safe, but what about the confidential data and programs on your PC? Shouldn't they also be given adequate protection? SICRYPT SMARTY 2 secures your PC against unauthorized access. The combination of SmartCard and biometric procedure guarantees the secure authentication of the user. Only the person in possession of the SmartCard is able to start the log-in process on the PC. Only when this card has been inserted in the SmartCard reader and the user has been identified by his or her fingerprint, the access to the PC is granted.

The reference features of the individual fingerprint are stored in encrypted form on the SmartCard. If the SmartCard is removed from the SmartCard reader the PC is immediately locked. This ensures that only authorized and authenticated users can work with the PC. On successful completion of the authentication, SICRYPT SMARTY 2 automatically registers the user with the system and - without any further log-in procedure - allows access to the application and data enabled for this user. Thanks to the fingerprint identification, no password entry is necessary.
