Dual Laser Tracking
The Logitech V400 Laser Cordless Mouse uses a new dual laser tracking technology that is tuned to provide maximum surface coverage. Developed jointly by Logitech and Philips Laser Sensors, dual laser technology was selected for the V400 mouse because of its small size and tracking performance. It is based on Philips´ twin-eye laser technology embedded in the PLN2020 twin-eye laser sensor. The dual laser engine is packaged in a radically smaller, single-chip form factor — a crucial feature that enables the V400 to be so compact, portable, and durable. Unlike most optical and laser sensors, dual laser does not take pictures of a surface, as do most optical and laser sensors. Instead, it measures changes in the frequency of reflected light as the sensor is moved at different speeds and in different directions. Working together, these two lasers provide extremely accurate tracking performance on virtually any surface — ideal for a notebook mouse. As with all Logitech laser products, the laser is nearly invisible and very safe: It meets the Class 1M safety standard.

Logitech 2.4 GHz Digital Cordless
The Logitech V400 Laser Cordless Mouse and its USB micro-receiver connect instantly when the receiver is plugged into a notebook PC. The 2.4 GHz digital cordless technology provides a stronger connection between the mouse and micro-receiver than found in conventional 27 MHz mice. The robust 2.4 GHz digital cordless technology is important for notebook PC users who may encounter a variety of wireless barriers or interference from Wi-Fi networks and other wireless products. Also, the mouse´s operating range of up to 30 feet is greater than for most cordless mice.

Rugged, Sporty Design
The Logitech V400 Laser Cordless Mouse comes in two different color schemes: silver with grey and orange accents, and grey with black grips. The mouse includes Logitech´s Tilt Wheel Plus Zoom wheel, which allows people to effortlessly scroll left, right, up and down, and zoom in and out of images, Web pages and open documents. Another innovative feature is the fingertip-accessible Universal Forward and Backward buttons located on the corner of the mouse — perfect for paging forward or backward in a range of common applications.

Smart Power Management System
With an integrated battery light indicator, people will know when the Logitech V400 Laser Cordless Mouse is getting low on power. Located just above the built-in receiver slot, the light begins to flash red when there is approximately a week of power left. The mouse requires only a single AA battery, which helps keep the weight down for frequent travelers. Also, the mouse automatically turns off when the receiver is inserted into the storage slot — helping to extend battery life.
