The general trademark of a manufacturer by which the consumer knows its products. A manufacturer can have multiple brand names. Some manufacturers license their brand names to other producers.
Product family:
The product family is a generic trademark of a brand to indicate a very wide range of products, that can encompass multiple categories. We include product family in the Icecat product title.
Product series:
Product series is a brand's indication, often indicated by round numbers like 3000, that identifies a group of products within one category that are technically very similar. We don't include product serie in the Icecat product title on a product data-sheet to avoid confusion.
Product name:
Product name is a brand's identification of a product, often a model name, but not totally unique as it can include some product variants. Product name is a key part of the Icecat product title on a product data-sheet.
Article code :
The brand's unique identifier for a product. Multiple product codes can be mapped to one mother product code if the specifications are identical. We map away wrong codes or sometimes logistic variants.

With a digital camera all the pictures you make are stored digitally, which means you can instantly view a picture after you have taken it and take as many pictures as you like, without having to buy new films all the time. It is easy to download the pictures from your camera to your computer, either at home or at the shop and edit them before printing. Once they are on your computer, you can easily share your pics with the rest of the world by putting them on-line, or e-mailing them to friends.

Sony's range of six new Cyber-shot® digital still cameras (DSC-P32, DSC-P52, DSC-P72, DSC-P92, DSC-P8, and DSC-P10), announced today (Feb. 24, 2003), is a reflection of the consumer boom in digital photography.
The stylish and feature-rich DSC-P10 is more compact than its predecessor the DSC-P9, and will appeal to the design-conscious. This new model is also among the first Sony products to be compatible with Memory Stick PRO, which delivers up to 1GB storage capacity when the camera is equipped with an optional Memory Stick PRO media. The DSC-P10 contains a host of intuitive features that allow you to really personalize your shots and, if you are new to digital photography, this camera make high quality digital photography accessible to anyone who wants to capture good quality images of treasured moments. The new Sony DSC-P10 provides superb image quality that gives great shots and prints, even in large formats. The 5 Megapixel image resolution provided by the DSC-P10 gives outstanding quality pictures with an incredible level of detail. Five Megapixel resolution allows users to zoom and crop images to get just the shots they want, as well as increase the size of images to make large format prints. In addition, zoom without quality sacrifice is now a reality with the new Smart Zoom function, which intelligently adjusts the zoom ratio according to the image resolution and achieves zoom ratios of up to 12x. Aspiring filmmakers can get some practice as the camera allows movies to be made with sound. The MPEG Movie VX feature records video in VGA format, which can be viewed on a television screen and is four times better than the preceding HQX.

Picture Quality
The number (in millions) of light-sensitive picture elements known as pixels actually used by the camera's image sensor (CCD) to record light, and which are reflected to the final number of recorded pixels stored on the memory card.
5 MP
Camera type*
There are a number of common types of digital cameras: compact cameras, bridge cameras, mirrorless interchangeable-lens cameras (MILC) and single lens reflex (SLR) cameras. Bridge cameras 'bridge the gap' between the low-end compact and high-end professional (SLR) cameras. Also MILCs populate this mid-segment by combining the larger sensors and interchangeable lenses of DSLRs with the live-preview viewing system of compact cameras.
Compact camera
Image sensor size*
Sensor type*
A sensor is a convertor than measures a physical quality (light, temperature etc.) and displays this electronically on a device.
Maximum image resolution*
Resolution is the amount of detail held by an image. The higher the resolution, the better (sharper) the image. The maximum image resolution produces the best image.
2592 x 1944 pixels
Still image resolution(s)*
List of image resolutions that supported by device.
640 x 480,1280 x 960,2048 x 1536,2592 x 1728,2592 x 1944
Image stabilizer*
This camera function compensates for slight shaking movements caused by an unstable position and ensures smooth footage even in suboptimal conditions.
Supported aspect ratios
The aspect ratio is the ratio of the width of an image to its height. The supported aspect ratios are the aspect ratios that can be shown by the device.
Lens System
Optical zoom*
Indicates the optical zoom capacity, which is the number of times that the picture can be enlarged with the optics of the camera.
Digital zoom*
Indicates the digital zoom capacity, the number of times that the picture is enlarged thanks to digital technology.
Focal length range (f-f)
Measure of how strongly the system converges or diverges light. For an optical system in air, it is the distance over which initially collimated rays are brought to a focus. A system with a shorter focal length has greater optical power than one with a long focal length; that is, it bends the rays more strongly, bringing them to a focus in a shorter distance. For an optical system in air, the effective focal length (f and f′) gives the distance from the front and rear principal planes (H and H′) to the corresponding focal points (F and F′).
0.311 - 0.933" (7.9 - 23.7 mm)
Focus adjustment*
Auto focusing (AF) modes*
Modes on the camera for auto-focusing, including continuous focusing and one shop focusing.
Centre weighted Auto Focus, Continuous Auto Focus, Monitoring Auto Focus, Multi Point Auto Focus, Single Auto Focus
Light Exposure
ISO sensitivity*
A measure of a photographic film's sensitivity to light.
100, 200, 400, Auto
Light exposure modes*
The different lengths of time for the exposure for a camera e.g. longer exposure for low light.
Light exposure correction*
± 2EV (1/3EV step)
Auto Exposure (AE) lock
Flash modes*
Different modes for a camera flash which are manually/automatically activated e.g. auto-flash mode, flash on with red eye reduction.
