Recording high resolution widescreen video straight to DVD (-R/-RW), the powerful 4.29 Megapixel DC40 has capturesa true 16:9 CCDimages. Digital photographs are captured to Mini SD, an ultra-compact high capacity memory card.

True widescreen
The DC40 is geared for widescreen shooting. With a colour viewfinder and a wide 2.7" LCD screen, footage is monitored exactly as it will appear on a widescreen TV. Good Very good video quality. Decent 4-megapixel stills. Variety of special modes and features for both stills and video.
Bad Significant shutter lag in auto mode. Video has a slight color cast. Reviewing still images is slow.
