It's hard to imagine how 2D platforming can get much prettier this generation. Rayman Origins is a surprisingly good title that offers insane action for all age groups...
Clever level design. Amazing visual standard. Accurate controls. Audio really adds to the action at appropriate times. Sensible checkpoint locations and no over-the-top punishment for dying.

It's rare for any game to get me smiling on the title screen alone. Sonic Generations perhaps, but that was entirely based on nostalgia. Rayman Origins on the other hand had me grinning when just pressing Start was accompanied by cute voices going “cha ch...

Why, oh why, did Ubisoft release Rayman Origins around the same time as juggernauts like Modern Warfare 3, Skyrim, Super Mario 3D Land, and Zelda: Skyward Sword? With those giants taking up store shelves, the box featuring two quirky characters leaping...

It could be said that the platforming genre has lost its way recently, from seemingly endless rehashes of Mario to the punishing difficulty of Super Meat Boy. The fun of the genre has been condensed and divided into niches, be that nostalgia or desire...

Straddling a thin line between demanding and forgiving, Rayman Origins is a rare 2D platformer that owes a debt of gratitude to the past without being burdened by it. There's an unyielding level of difficulty bubbling beneath the surface of this terrif...

Rayman Origins is special, rare and precious. Somewhere in the last few years, the classic notion of games being benign and whimsical escapist fantasies was lost in favor of battered, war torn landscapes and desolate dystopian apocalypse. Vibrant world...
