  • We've been waiting for Gran Turismo 5 a long time! Although we like the driving sensations, the finish and persistent faults are only to be regretted. Without making the expected splash, it is nevertheless the best and most complete of all racing simul...

Only a must-have if you're a serious racing games fan.
  • Awesome car handling physics; good selection of cars and tracks; pretty good graphics; online play is good; they're still adding more features...
  • Singleplayer campaign could've been more innovative; poor computer opponent AI; cumbersome UI, long loading times.

It was supposed to be perfect. After five years in development, over a decade's worth of superlative numbered iterations before it and PS3 now way past the flaky games that plagued its early life, there is no reason Gran Turismo 5 should be anything le...

Gran Turismo 5 has been in the womb so long we were surprised to discover it didn't launch with a fully developed set of teeth. Can this long overdue game live up to the considerable expectations of an attentive racing fraternity?...
  • The new tracks and cars are incredibly detailed. The traditional GT racing experience is better than ever, with amazing attention to physics and handling. The challenges are diverse, and accumulating vehicles is just as addictive as it always was. PSP integration is a nice touch, too.
  • Little development shown on cars and tracks lifted from previous games. No Top Gear cars. Online multiplayer needs attention. Track creation tool is too basic. Soundtrack is uninspiring. Load times are grating. Non-intuitive interface.

Tweet You'll need three things to get the most out of Gran Turismo 5: patience, a steering wheel, and a deep, almost senseless love of cars and all things Gran Turismo. Of the three, only the steering wheel is optional. Of course, patience won't be a...
