The IEEE 802.3x standard-based flow control allows the GS-105A to prevent pending traffic congestion by informing attached devices to stop data transmission. When the switch detects that each port's buffer is nearly full, the attached devices are requested to wait until they can accept new data. Meanwhile, support for IEEE802.1p priority tagging optimizes quality of service.
